Install Sift on your computer
Sift works in Chrome, Edge and Brave on a computer. Open its Chrome Web Store listing and choose Add to Chrome.
You don’t need a Sift account. Every filter works the moment it’s installed.
Pin Sift to your toolbar
Open your browser’s extensions menu, the puzzle-piece icon, and click the pin next to Sift. Pinned, Sift is one click away on Marketplace and on any store page, which is where Find it used lives.
Try a search you actually use
Go to Facebook Marketplace in the same browser and search for something you want to buy. If the page was already open during installation, refresh it.
Shopping Kijiji too? Open a Kijiji search, click Sift and press Turn on Kijiji. Chrome asks for access once.
Make one useful change
Choose a filter that answers a specific frustration. Start with one and watch the results clear.

Look at what’s left, and open the hidden listings to see why each one went. If something useful was hidden, loosen that filter. The search builder helps you plan the words to search, require and exclude.
Press Watch
On a search you keep repeating, click Sift and press Watch. When a new listing matches, Sift lets you know, so you can stop refreshing. With Sift Pro, new matches go straight to your phone. See new-listing alerts and phone alerts.
Ask “Is this a good deal?”
Open a listing you like and press Is this a good deal? Sift gives you a verdict, the reasons, a fair offer and a message to the seller, ready to copy. Every plan gets 3 a month free. Price history and price-drop badges show up on the photos as you browse. See the AI second opinion and the price tracker.
Find it used before you buy new
On a store’s product page, at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, IKEA and more, click the pinned Sift icon. Sift shows the same thing used on Facebook Marketplace near you, and what you’d save. You can also right-click a product name. See Find it used.
Reading this on your phone?
You can read the guides and use the buyer tools on your phone. The extension itself is for your computer’s browser, and with Sift Pro, alerts from your watched searches come to your phone.
Use Send to my laptop where offered, share this page with yourself or copy its address. On your computer, open the link in Chrome, Edge or Brave and follow the steps above.
If something does not appear
